Outreach Tidbits

Hilda Zeigler delivered your 50 "welcome bags" to the New London Homeless Hospitality Center on Tuesday, April 15th.  Each laundry bag contained a chap stick, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, combs or brushes, wash cloth, hand towel, q-tips, mouth wash, 2 pairs of warm socks, and 2 pairs of underpants.  Thank you to all the parishioners who donated items to fill these bags; thank you to Ken & Lisa Nogacek (again) for donating the toothbrushes, toothpastes, and dental flosses; and thank you to the parishioners who helped stuff the bags on Palm Sunday.

...a large bin of plastic Easter Eggs stuffed with toys & candy was delivered to the TVCCA Shelter on Good Friday for the children in residence to have their own Easter Egg Hunt.  Thank you to all the parishioners who donated candy and to those who helped stuff those eggs!

...your Groton Regency Team: Leslie Aiken, Karen Albot, Ray Brown, Susan Fiegel, Pete Hall, and Leslie Leone delivered over 200 palm crosses on Palm Sunday to our friends there.  Thank you to the parishioners (which included several YES students) for making the palm crosses AND the Groton Regency Team delivered cotton ball bunnies to the residents on Easter Sunday, crafted by the Outreach Team at their last meeting.
