MUSIC

Sing and Ring to the Lord! There are many musical opportunities to participate in at Saint David’s. Our musical leadership and talented parishioners provide listening beauty and joy that uplifts our hearts. Our music program welcomes all voices and ages across the southeastern Connecticut region including Groton, Ledyard, Gales Ferry, Waterford, Montville and beyond!

Senior Choir

The Senior Choir leads the congregational singing and offers an anthem each Sunday at the 10:15 service. Along with friends from the community and a string trio we present a service of Lessons and Carols each December during Advent and a special musical Good Friday service. Our Christmas Eve service also includes organ, piano and a string trio. And the choir is joined by a trumpeter for Easter services. We rehearse every Thursday evening, and all are welcome to join.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

The children have music each week as part of the Godly Play Sunday School program and sing for the 10:15 worship service often. We also participate in Youth Sunday and the Christmas Pageant. Our Children’s Choir adds to their musical presentations with a one-octave set of melody bells.

HANDBELLS

Saint David’s has three octaves of Malmark hand bells and three octaves of Malmark hand chimes. Our Senior Handbell Choir, JuBELLee, rehearses each Monday evening and plays for the 10:15 worship service once a month. Our Youth Handbell Choir often rehearses on Sunday after worship and plays for the 10:15 service once a month.

INSTRUMENTALISTS

We strongly encourage parishioners, young and old, to share their instrumental talents with us at worship. This can be done as solos or as accompaniment for one of the singing groups.
