Worship shapes our beliefs, guides us through life's journeys and is the inspiration for our ministry. At Saint David's, we worship through prayer, song, and sacraments so to give thanks for the blessings we receive.

 Holy Week

  • Palm Sunday: The Sunday of the Passion
    The 10:15 Service will begin the Parish Hall where the palms will be distributed and blessed. (Palms will also be available at the 8 a.m. Service.) Everyone will them parade into the church for the reading of the Passion Gospel and the Holy Communion.
  • 6:00 PM on Maundy Thursday
    This service also begins in the Parish Hall for the Liturgy of the Word.  A simple supper will be provided.  We will then process to the church for the Holy Communion and the Stripping of the Altar.
  • Overnight Prayer Vigil  A prayer vigil will be kept from the end of the Maundy Thursday service until Good Friday morning. Come pray and "watch one hour" as Jesus asked his disciples to do.
  • 10:30 AM on Good Friday: Pilgrimage at St. James' Church, Poquetanuck
    Journey with Jesus through the events of Holy Week.  Designed for participants of all ages.  Lunch (pizza) and a family-friendly movie will follow.
  • 7:00 PM Liturgy for Good Friday
    The traditional lessons, Passion Gospel, solemn collects and contemplation of the crucifixion with communion distributed from the Maundy Thursday service.

Easter Sunday

  • 5:30 AM  Great Vigil of Easter
  • 9:00 AM, Festal Easter Eucharist


  • Sunday before Thanksgiving,  Ecumenical Service (site rotates between the various churches in Gales Ferry and Ledyard)

Christmas Eve
